Questions
Plain answers, without the NDIS fog
If your question isn't here, call us. We'll talk it through in the language that works for you.
How do I start with A Plus Care?
Call 1800 275 872 or 03 7065 1090, email info@apcvic.com.au, or use the contact form. We'll listen first, then talk through your plan and what support would actually help. Getting started walks through the steps.
How do I refer someone?
Use the short referral form. Your name and phone are enough. Tick the supports if you know them. We'll get in touch with you. Coordinators, families and other providers are all welcome.
Do I need a plan manager?
No. If you already have a plan manager, we work alongside them. A Plus Care does not claim to offer plan management as one of our own registered services. Support coordination is what we provide, and we can refer you to people we partner with for other needs.
Do you offer allied health, cleaning or gardening?
We can offer allied health professionals, cleaners and gardeners who work with us. Those are partners, not a registration we claim. Support coordinators refer when it fits your plan. If you provide those services, send an expression of interest via work with us.
How does intake work, and what are the rates?
Intake starts with a first call. Supports do not begin until the plan, the paperwork and the right worker line up. What we deliver is billed against the current NDIS Price Guide for that item. Partner allied health, cleaning and gardening set their own rates, and we tell you before anything is booked.
Which languages do you speak?
English and Turkish are strongest on the team. We also support Arabic, Chinese, Hindi and Vietnamese. Tell us your language when you call and we'll match you where we can.
Where do you work?
Our office is at Craigieburn VIC 3064. We support people across Melbourne's north — Somerton, Broadmeadows, Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park, Meadow Heights, Greenvale, Campbellfield, Epping, Thomastown, Reservoir, Glenroy, Fawkner, Coburg and nearby — and further across Victoria where the plan allows. Ask us if you're unsure we cover your suburb.
How is support paid for?
Most of our work is funded through an NDIS plan (self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed, depending on the support). We'll help you understand what your plan can cover before anything starts. We never ask you to guess.
What does a support worker actually do?
They work beside the person through the day: community access, personal care, medication as agreed, domestic duties, skill-building, and support in group homes as well as at home. Every shift gets notes. AM and PM. Details are on support work.
What does support coordination include?
A coordinator reads the plan with you, connects the right people, watches hours and funding, preps for reviews, and stays the person you call when something stalls. If you have a plan manager, we work with them. We do not replace them. Support coordination spells it out.
I want to work as a support worker. What do I send?
Send one pack: resume, a short note, First Aid, CPR, WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening, police check, COVID proof, photo ID, ABN and bank details, to info@apcvic.com.au. The full checklist is on careers. Cleaner and allied health partners use the same page. Turkish-speaking applicants are encouraged.
How do I give feedback or make a complaint?
We want to hear it. Start with us, and you can also go to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. The process is on our feedback and complaints page.
